Term of Office 2020-2024

Shannan Maust is a lifelong resident of the City of Gracious Living. She began her education at Cabrillo and Citrus Elementary Schools. Shannan attended Upland Junior High School and graduated from Upland High School in 1986. She completed her bachelor’s degree in business management at California State University, San Bernardino in 1994.

Shannan retired as the West Coast Regional Sales Training Executive in Nordstrom where she held numerous positions throughout her twenty-three-year career prior to beginning a new endeavor with her husband Mark Maust, in which they contribute to our city as Upland business owners.

Shannan and Mark have two daughters who also attended Upland public schools. Both girls have enjoyed being involved in numerous school activities. Their eldest daughter graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2020, majoring in Communications with a minor in Cinema/TV Arts and their youngest daughter will graduate from Upland High School in 2022 with the world at her fingertips and Upland in her heart.

Shannan enjoys volunteering in Upland. She has served on the City Council Advisory Committee for several years. Shannan has served on the shop Upland committee, as an Upland Police Department volunteer and on the Christmas parade committee. She treasures every experience and opportunity with this goal in mind; “bringing people together and improving the quality of life in our community.”

Shannan Maust’s family roots run deep in our community. A fourth generation Uplander, Shannan believes our city is a great place to raise a family and live a true “City of Gracious Living” experience.
